まず初めに
First of all
1年生のみなさんは特に、履修のやり方、Webサイト、そしてそもそも履修とは何かわからない人が多いと思います。ここでは１から説明しているので、ぜひ活用してください！Many of you, especially first-year students, may not know how to register for the courses. Here, we explain everything from the beginning, so please make use of it!
Classes are taken from Monday to Saturday, and most of them are set up by students themselves. One class is generally 2 credits, and you will take about 20 credits in the first semester before the summer vacation, which means about 10 classes per week.
必修とは？What is a required class?
学部ごとに定められている、必ず取らなければならない授業のことです。例えば法学部で必修は英語と第２外国語のみで、英語は週に3回、第２外国語は週に2回あります（英語と第２外国語だけは一コマで1単位なので注意）。必修が少ないと、自分で選んで組む単位の数が多いですが、必修が多いと、自分で入れられる授業は少なくなります。
A required class is a class that must be taken, as determined by each faculty. For example, in the Faculty of Law, the only required classes are English and a second foreign language, and English is offered three times a week and the second foreign language is offered twice a week (note that English and the second foreign language are one credit per class). If there are fewer required classes, there are more credits for you to choose from, but if there are more required classes, there are fewer classes you can put in by yourself.
シラバスとは？What is a syllabus?
取ることができる授業の一覧（時間割表PDF）と、授業の教授がまとめた授業の内容や評価方法が書いてあるもの（科目検索）の２種類あります。
簡単に説明すると、時間割表PDFで取ることのできる授業を調べ、選び、科目検索でシラバス見て決めます。
There are two types of syllabus: one is a list of classes you can take (Timetable PDF), and the other is a description of the content and evaluation methods compiled by the professor of the class (Course Search).
To briefly explain, you look up and select classes you can take from the timetable PDF, and then look at the syllabus in the course search to decide which classes to take.

This is where you can register for courses. During the course registration period, you can log in to the Course Registration System and also you will be able to know your required courses there.

履修の組み方
How to Register Courses
履修登録は初めての新入生には複雑で分からない事が多いと思います。そこで、ここではスッテプに分けて失敗しない履修の組み方を紹介していきます！
Registering courses is a complicated and confusing process for new students. Here, we will introduce you to register for courses without making any mistakes!
まずはこの３ステップ！
First, these three steps!
STEP１必須で埋める
大学のページで時間割を確認して時間割アプリに登録。

まず必須を埋めることで自分が必要な単位数を、空いているコマの時間帯を可視化できる。
Check the timetable on the university's page and register it in the timetable app.
*Recommended timetable apps
You can visualize the number of credits you need by filling in the required ones, and the available times.
STEP ４ 取ることのできる授業を調べる
時間割表PDFを見ながら取れる授業を調べよう
今回の例を参考に月曜日と火曜日の履修を組むと、月曜日の1限と火曜日の3限以外の時間から取りたい授業を選びます。
STEP２ 上限単位数を調べる
卒業に必要な単位数は学部によって違うためチェック！（学部ごとの履修要項で確認できます）
ここでは一年間に46単位まで、春学期だけだと38単位まで授業を取ることができます。
また、進級条も学部によって違うのでこちらも確認しよう。

STEP ５ シラバスで確認
取りたい授業をシラバスで検索して、授業の評価方法や内容を確認しよう。
STEP３選択できる授業数を数える
Count the number of classes you can choose.
★上限単位数ー必須単位数＝選択できる授業数
時間割が埋まっていない枠で選べる単位数分、興味のあるものを選んでいこう！
Maximum number of credits - Number of required credits = Number of classes you can choose
Choose the classes you are interested in for the number of credits available !
STEP 6 実際に登録しよう！

「履修登録」ログインCourse Registration Systemに入ると、上のような画面が出てきます。そこで「追加」を押して授業を登録しよう！
履修の組み方のコツ
Tips on how to organize your courses
コツ１ 抽選のある授業だけ選ばない
面白い授業は倍率が高いので、そういった授業をとることはオススメ出来ますが、万が一抽選が外れてしまった場合、二次抽選以降に残っている授業で埋めないといけません。
Tip 1: Don't just pick classes that have a lottery.
Interesting classes have a high ratio of applicants, so there is a high possibility that you will miss the lottery. If you lose the lottery, you will have to fill in the remaining classes after the second lottery.
コツ２ 授業の評判を調べる。
友達や先輩から授業の情報を集めましょう。
また、口コミサイトも要チェック！
Tip 2 :Find out about the reputation of the class.
Gather information about the class from friends and seniors. Also, check word-of-mouth websites!
コツ３ 空きコマをなるべく作らない
授業を入れないコマは一日一コマにしましょう。
二コマ以上入れてしまうと、遊びやバイトがしにくくなります。
Tip 3: Avoid making empty times as much as possible.
Try to limit to one free class period per day.
If you have two or more classes off, it will be difficult to hang out or to work part-times
コツ４ バランスを考える。
・出席だけの授業
・レポート評価の授業
・テスト評価の授業
のバランスを考えるとテスト期間が楽になります。単位の評価方法はシラバスに載っています
Tip 4: Consider balance.
・Attendance-only classes
・Report evaluation classes
・Test evaluation classes
It will be easier during the test period if you think about the balance of the following. (The method of credit evaluation is listed in the syllabus.)
コツ5 一限はなるべく入れない
高校で行けたから、行けると思はないでください！ホントにきついです！
バイトやサークルとの調整をつけて組みましょう。
Tip 5: Try not to register the first period.
Don't think that because you were able to do it in high school that you can also do it in colledge! It is really tough!
Also, try coordinating with your part-time job or clubs.
